How healthy is a town's music? Gigista lists gigs across hundreds of towns every night β and only a both-calendars dataset (every room, every recurring series, not just the ticketed headliners) can compute a dark-night rate: the nights when a town has no listed music at all. This free public index turns that into a per-town scorecard towns, chambers of commerce and tourism boards can use to brag, plan and fund music.
How to read it: pick a town below and its scorecard is computed live from that town's own listed calendar for the next 28 days β nights with music, active rooms, distinct acts, no-cover share, listing variety and a two-fortnight trend, rolled into one 0β100 score with its formula printed on the card. An open night is an opportunity, not a failure β no venue is ever named, and the index counts aggregate public listings only, never fan data. Gigs-per-capita is deliberately not shown yet: Gigista holds no census population join, and a per-capita figure without one would be a guess.

βListed gigsβ is the town's full listed calendar (all dates Gigista currently carries); the scorecard below always covers the next 28 days. Counts refresh with the nightly pipeline.
The public index above is free for every town. The detailed version adds the venue-by-venue night map, the full open-night calendar, and the trend file β the packet a festival bid, a venue grant or a music-district plan is built from. Tell us your town and a human replies; this form contacts nobody else.
